There's a way of charting your body temperature each day to learn when you are about to ovulate.

It's called your basal body temperature, and it is your temperature when you very first wake up, before you even get out of bed. You take your temperature and record it on a monthly chart. Usually, before you ovulate there will be a slight dip in your temp and then after you ovulate your temperature rises until you have your period. It is a completely natural and holistic way to help with fertility and all you need is a basal thermometer. (It looks and acts just like a regular thermometer but since even one tenth of a degree can be important, it breaks up your temperature into larger marks.)

Here's another page where I answered this and give you some links showing how it works:

It's a great method for learning to recognize other symptoms of ovulation also, like when your cervical mucus changes from being sticky white (not fertile) to being clear and runny like an egg white (when you are fertile). By charting your whole cycle for a few months, you will feel very much in touch with what's going on with your body.

Check out that link I posted, above, and see if that system might not help you in TTC. I know how difficult it is when you've wanted a baby for a long time. Best wishes to you.
