Hello Anonymous

It can take a while for your cycles to get back on track after being on the pill a long time. You don't say how old you are, but if you are in your mid thirties or older you could be looking at perimenopausal hormone changes that can cause frequent or longer periods.

Are you attempting to become pregnant? If so, I suggest you consult with your gynecologist about your cycles and have an exam. They may also recommend vitamin supplements and that sort of thing. It is common now to have a sort of pre-conception consult to be sure you are as healthy as possible before becoming pregnant.

In the end, if this is bothering you (and I know it would bother me!) make an appointment with your gynecologist for an exam and hormone check. Thank you for writing and good luck to you.
