However, having unprotected sex, and using the withdrawal method (he withdrew his penis before ejaculating) is not the best birth control method, as it is only about 70% effective (compared to using condoms at 98% effective).
Using emergency contraception is a good choice, and provides up to an additional 80% protection against pregnancy, when your birth control fails, or you choose not to use birth control.
