1. It should not be used in conjunction with barrier-type birth control methods, as you mentioned (condoms, diaphragms, etc), as the ingredients can cause the materials in these birth control devices to deteriorate.
2. It is important to find the cause to your symptoms, and not mask them with over-the-counter ointments. If you have an infection, sexually transmitted disease, lack of lubrication...there are more effective remedies.
