Hi Maryann, Actually, this news may be new to the mainstream, but those of us with hair loss, who have passed through long, arduous periods of not knowing why our hair is falling out and have had to become hair loss experts, we've known about the damage done by extensions and other forms of traction (braids, perpetual tight pony tails, etc). Nonetheless, given the number of women using hair extensions, I get the impression most women still don't know potential damage. Happy to share such news stories if it can help another avoid the hair loss emotions I know all too well.
All the best,
Susan
