Yes, Club Soda, Seltzer and Flavored Seltzer, Water sweetened with Juice, Coconut Water, "Smart Waters", sports drinks....these are all excellent sources of water (sports drinks contain extra calories). You do not need to specifically drink water to increase your water intake each day. Fresh fruits and vegetables contain a lot of water, and can help contribute to your overall goal.

The literature seems conflicted regarding caffeinated beverages, however. Some sources say that caffeinated beverages (in moderation, perhaps one serving per day) can add to your water intake. Other sources say the caffeine depletes your body of water (diuretic), and to avoid them.

The same can be said with salt (it is a diuretic), and I believe Club Soda contains sodium. Be sure to check the label on your Club Soda to ensure that it contains a minimal amount of sodium. Also be sure to check labels on any other seltzer or "smart waters" that you choose.

Seltzer water may contain less sodium than Club Soda, but some seltzer water contains added sugar...again, check the label!

Lastly, be sure to avoid alcohol, and excess salt in your diet to help your increased water needs for your body!
