Most likely, your pregnancy test results are accurate, as a HPT measures the amount of a specific "pregnancy hormone", and it is able to detect small amount of hormone. Urine naturally contains many other products, and from my understanding, blood is not a deterring factor in a HPT detecting "pregnancy hormones". Please know that it may depend on the amount of other products in your urine, or quantity of blood for example, and a quick call to your doctor may be advisable in your situation.

Are you trying to conceive? Why do you think you may be pregnant? This is the biggest factor of all: if you have a high chance of pregnancy (meaning: frequent, unprotected sex since your last menstrual period), then a negative pregnancy test result and a late period, combined with your medical condition, may warrant a second testing and/or call to your doctor. If, however, you are not having frequent unprotected sex, the likelihood of your test result being inaccurate would have more to do with this added information (regardless of medical conditions). Does that make sense?
