Hi,
I doubt that you could be pregnant for two reasons. First, you said that you had your period earlier this month. On what day did your period stop?
Even if you conceived, it would be too soon to see any signs of pregnancy. I don't think your swollen lower abdomen indicates pregnancy.
When you had the tubal ligation, were your fallopian tubes clipped and banded shut rather than cut, stitched or burn? Generally, tubal ligation is a permanent method of birth control. There is a slight risk of becoming pregnant after tubal ligation. This happens to about 5 out of 1,000 women after 1 year. After a total of 5 years following tubal ligation, about 13 out of 1,000 women will have become pregnant.
You could wait and see if you get a period next month. Or, you can call your gynecologist and discuss your symptoms with him or her.
