Hi, I wanted to say that my cousin had similar problem as yours and she had surgery and it all went well. Nodules are very common and usually are benign. It is better to be taken care of than not to because it can become problem if ignored. Do you have history of cancer? At young age the risk of cancer is very little. From thyroid it is common to have a bump and usually it's nothing serious. I'm sure it's nothing serious either. For such thing the doctor would just say to go for checkup because thyroid is really important.
