Hi Katie,
Before I try to address the possible causes of joint pain in some one so young, I would like to ask you about your digestive system issues.
Did you receive a diagnosis for your inflamed upper bowel and diarrhea? How was the inflamed appendix treated? How was the inflamed upper bowel and diarrhea treated?
There are a variety of conditions that can cause joint pain in a person of your age. Such conditions include but are not limited to rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, Lyme disease and Epstein-Barr viral syndrome.
Since the pain is persistent and debilitating, you must call and speak with your physician. With a physical evaluation and any recommended blood tests, you can get a correct diagnosis and proper treatment.
