I don't know where you live but from someone who lives in the New York City metro area, I find this unacceptable and inexcusable.
If you didn't hear from your doctor's office-- call her. This is your life.
You have been experiencing abnormal symptoms for a very long time. Something is wrong. If your doctor doesn't know the cause, then she needs to let you know and recommend a physician with more experience or expertise.
