Your "attacks" sound like something that needs to be evaluated with a psychological exam. Are you under a lot of stress? Have there been difficult situations in your life (beyond the ordinary trials and tribulation)?
Chronic stress results in the constant release of the stress hormone, cortisol. This could be causing the attacks, which sound like a detachment experience. I am not an expert on psychological conditions. This is just a suggestion. Maybe you need to be evaluated by a psychologist rather than an internist.
