Hi Rosa,
Sorry to hear about your difficult postoperative experience. I had a total hysterectomy when I was 23 due to endometriosis. That 35 years ago and I never took hormones. I also was on prednisone for many years due to having rheumatoid arthritis since age 19. A side effect of the prednisone is that it causes osteoporosis which I have. My osteoporosis has always been contributed to my steroid use not my lack of hormones. So if you have osteoporosis maybe you should go to an endocrinologist. This is a doctor who specializes in hormones and maybe you have other hormones in your body such as excess corticosteroids causing the osteoporosis.
