Thank you for your question and welcome to Empowher. UTIs are certainly common when you first have sex. You may also be experiencing a yeast infection which is also common after having sexual intercourse.
The problem is, without going to see your doctor, this is a hard question to answer as you should always be checked up from your physician since you should be checked for any sexually transmitted diseases since you are starting to have sex. Also, if you are using condoms, you may have an allergy etc. There can be many issues surrounding the itching. Can you go see your doctor?
