Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  Not always a tumor found in the pelvic area is cancerous.  Depending where your doctor tells you it's located and what type of tumor it is. For instance, Uterine fibroid tumors are almost always benign. These benign (non-cancerous) tumors are found in most cases, in theuterusof women in their 30's and 40's.  Fibroid tumors are solid tumors which are made of fibrous tissue, hence the name 'fibroid' tumor. It might be good to ask your doctor.
