Normally, women who have stopped taking oral contraceptive pills should experience the return of menstruation within three months of discontinuing pill use.

Since you had one period after you stopped taking the pill but have not had a period in three months, you should be evaluated by your doctor.

The most obvious cause of the absence of menstrual periods is pregnancy. However, any conditions that affect the ovaries, uterus, hypothalamus or pituitary gland can cause the absence of menstrual periods.
