Yes I have experienced the same thing, and like you already had a high libido but my sex drive is through the roof, though I am also 44 and it's often said it increases in your 40's. I didn't need an increase, and find it very distracting...my Mirena is due to be changed next year and now after reading your post, I am considering looking in to it further and possibly braving having it altogether. Yes guys might think a woman with a genuine crazy high libido is fantastic, but there are downsides to it, and I have to make sure I keep myself occupied with other activities so it doesn't consume me.
