Hello Spunky bunny,
Prevacid is a proton pump inhibitor, which works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach. It is usually taken once a day, before eating. Your doctor may have increased your dose to twice a day because your symptoms were not relieved by a once a day dose.
If your doctor prescribed cipralex, take it. The only way to relieve your symptoms is to follow your doctor's prescribed treatment plan.
