Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  Some of the symptoms for peptic ulcers are:

  • Can Be felt anywhere from your navel up to your breastbone
  • Be worse when your stomach is empty
  • Flare at night
  • Often be temporarily relieved by eating certain foods that buffer stomach acid or by taking an acid-reducing medication
  • Disappear and then return for a few days or weeks
  •

Less common symptoms; vomiting blood, dark blood in stool, appetite changes.

If you are having symptoms of pain, it might be good to talk to your doctor about this.  He might also suggest taking something to relief the stress.  Can be medication or even counseling for both.  Which might help the relationship.

    Best,

    Daisy
