Make an appointment with your gynecologist to be evaluated. To identify the cause of these bumps, your physician needs to look at the lesions. A biopsy of one of the bumps may be necessary.
Treatment depends on the cause.
An allergic reaction to a new product, such as tampon, panty liner, sexual partner's condom or soap may be a cause.
Lichen planus, which is a skin condition caused by an overactive immune system, can cause itchy purple bumps on the labia.
