I'm really sorry but unfortunately, in the US we don't get income support. What they do offer for those with low income is government insurance and an allowance for food every month. It's impossible for me to tell you if, in London, they are allowed to stop offering you assistance after your child turns one since things in the U.S are much different. Our maternity leave can be anywhere from 8-12 weeks only and in order to continue receiving support, you must show proof that you are in need, regardless of having a job or not.
Are you sure that they aren't just asking you for income verification to determine if you are still eligible?
