NuvaRing is a flexible ring about two inches in diameter that is inserted vaginally once a month. NuvaRing releases a continuous low dose of hormone to prevent pregnancy. It is removed after three weeks and an new ring is inserted seven days later.
When you removed your NuvaRing early, did not use another form of birth control, and had sexual intercourse, you increased your risk for pregnancy.
Sperm can live inside a woman's body for up to five days. If you have unprotected sex even a few days before you ovulated, there is a chance of becoming pregnant.
Consult your gynecologist before you insert the NuvaRing . You may need a blood test to determine if you are pregnant before using it again.
