Anonymous,

I am so sorry for your loss....I lost my first husband to suicide so I can truly understand the stress and questions that result from your friends decision to end his/her life. Stress is so weird...it causes different things in different people. Could the hallucinations be in part due to your friends death? Possible. The bad part is that you don't seem to have too much support for your concerns which is an extremely tough aspect of the whole picture.

You mentioned that you are in your 20s. My thoughts are - you are an adult. You can make your own decisions about your own health. I know I would be concerned....after my husbands suicide, I used to smell an overwhelming scent of flowers in my car from time to time....enough for me to open my window and gag. There were other times that I thought someone was watching me in my house when I was all alone....very odd....he died in 2005 and I no longer have those sensations....can they be explained? Were those sensations just in my head? Could be I presume but they were very real to me....

So back to the issue at hand...do you tell your doctor? I would. If you have some neurological issue going on....this would be important to tell your doctor...if it is just stress that is causing the touching - or someone being next to you sensations....well, its only human nature..either way, I believe the concerns you have would be misinterpreted without telling your doctor all your symptoms.

Another thing...I'm not sure what hallucinations being in your medical record would be such a concern? Are you planning on being an FBI, CIA agent? Medical records are protected and cannot be shared without written consent. Am I missing something here?

Keep me posted.

Missie
