Hi there!
I am having same problem with burning in my urethra. It started back way before May 2016. Chronic yeast infections. Then in September diagnosed with UTI Ecoli. And a very resistant strain. Finally after almost 7 months, my Ecoli was gone. Just found this out last Friday. However, I have severe amounts of yeast in my urine and my glucose levels in urine extremely high. But my blood glucose perfect. Which tells me I have over abundance of yeast. Explains vaginal yeast infections chronically and all the antibiotics I was on sure did not help the yeast. It added to it. So now I've taken 3 doses of Diflucan. My last one was Sunday. Yeast infection calmed but not all the way gone vaginally. I drink a lot of water. Eat one yogurt daily with live cultures. Just started probiotics and oil of oregano too. I see my OBGYN next Wednesday. I was told to take one more dose of Diflucan tonight. However I don't understand the burning with feeling of urgency in my urethra. Could that be yeast causing this all!?? It's been like this since my chronic yeast infections and just got worse with the Ecoli. Now that Ecoli is gone, I'm still having pain itching and burning in urethra. No STDs. So could Candidal Vaginitis cause these symptoms in my urethra? I understand my urethra could just be inflamed from having Ecoli for so long and may take weeks to feel better and symptoms gone. But I truly believe that yeast got up in there however no bladder infection. Just a ton of yeast in urine and high glucose levels in urine. Could all these chronic yeast infections aka Vaginitis and having Ecoli so long cause my urethra to be infected with yeast or just inflamed from a long term infection in bladder? Or both? Also will my OBGYN be able to treat Vaginitis and urethra issues? My Urogynocologist referred me to my OBGYN for both issues as she only treated my UTI. I hope to get some answers and relief soon. At least Ecoli is gone. But I really need to kill off this yeast and find out what's wrong with my urethra so that can be fixed as well. Any advice would be very much appreciate. I saw your comment and I thought of my situation. Hoping you got help and relief and figured out what was wrong with your urethra. Thank you everyone!!!!! ❤️
