Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER and thank you for reaching out to us.

Bloating and loose or frequent stools are a commonly experienced side effect of antibiotics. In the process of destroying the bacteria that causes an illness, in your case, strep throat, they also kill some of the good bacteria that are normally present in your gastrointestinal tract.

Taking an oral probiotic or eating yogurt with active cultures can help.

If you normally have regular menstrual cycles, and your next period is late by more than one week, then take a pregnancy test. Test in the morning and use the first urine of the day.
That is the way to know whether or not you became pregnant.

Keep in mind that high stress levels, traveling, particularly through different time zones, and illness can delay the start of your period.

Regards,
Maryann
