Brown discharge (old blood) sometimes appears after a normal period. However, early in pregnancy you may have spotting or a brownish discharge at the time your period would normally come. It's good that you are going to see your doctor soon so you can have some definitive answers.
In the meantime, try not to worry and relax. If you want to be pregnant, I hope that you are :-)
