Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER and thank you for asking us for help. Since this has persisted for a few months, I suggest you speak with your primary care physician.

I do not think there is a high probability that the pulsating pressure is caused by a tumor. If this was the cause, you would experience this sensation all the time.

The organs that are located in the upper left quadrant of the abdomen include the stomach, spleen, left lobe of the liver, body of the pancreas, left kidney and adrenal gland, the splenic flexure of the colon, and parts of the transverse and descending colon.

I am wondering, since this sensation occurs only at night, when you lay down on your back, and is associated with feeling gassy, if the cause may be linked to your stomach or colon and digestion. A consultation with a gastroenterologist might be advisable.

Regards,
Maryann
