Having regular periods is a sure sign you are not pregnant. The vaginal bleeding that occur during the first months of pregnancy is only spotting that lasts 1 or 2 days. It is nothing like a regular period. You do not have to worry about pregnancy at this point. If you had a pap smear, anything usual would be apparent.
Also, the fact that you had sex a day before your period means you were not ovulating during that time. Ovulation happens 12-16 days before your period. Since you were not ovulating, there was no egg to fertilize. Therefore, pregnancy cannot occur.
