The area you are describing contains the spleen which can sometimes becomes enlarged. The spleen helps to rid the body of waste.
Enlargement could be due to a liver problem but it can also happen when the spleen is working hard. While we cannot say this is what's going on with you, call your doctor if you have further concerns.
