If you are on the mini-pill, you can ovulate if you don't take your pill within 12 hours but this is not the case with the combination pill, I'm not sure why your doctor would say your chances of pregnancy would increase dramatically. A few hours here and there won't make a difference but of course, it's ideal to take them around the same time. Set an alarm on your phone - that can help a lot!
