I just had the cryoablation done on the 7th of August. It was done as outpatient care because I had several other procedures done at the same time. My period was due when I went in so I am hoping that doesn't end up causing me complications. My doctor did a D&C first and checked the uterus for fibroids and cysts, but said there weren't any of either. I did have a few spots of endometrial tissue on the right ovary so it was removed as well (was discussed and I knew going in this was a very good possibility). Does anyone know how removing one ovary will effect my period? So far, I had about 5 days of the gushing like water (found it gross, feel dirty all the time). It did have a slight odor that kind of goes back and forth. I am now on day 10 and am still getting the yellowish discharge and light mostly pinkish bleeding back and forth. Was not released from recovery until around 3:30 in the afternoon because I could not urinate until then (they had drained my bladder and it was empty). I was very sick when I got home and very nautious. The doctor ended up calling me in a nausia medicine that did help a lot. My mouth was so dry I could not eat anything because I was so dry I could not get it down, had to drink water and force it and even that was miserable. Hoping things start to really improve soon. Have been told I have to wait six weeks before having sex (should be climbing the walls by then) and not tampons until then either. I hate pads, so I am not having fun with this. Have no idea with all the different procedures what to expect for periods or how long this will last. Thanks everyone for sharing, having people share experiences really does help a lot.
