I had Her Option Cryoablation done on 9/4/09 in the Doctor's office under semi-sedation with Valium and Phenergan. It was pretty painful, but because of the meds I didn't really care. I had a bit of cramping and bloody/watery discharge for 2 weeks post, then on 9/30 started my first period (which was very bad and crampy). I went back to the Doctor and he said that the uterus can be tender for some time after the cryosurgery and we should know more about my ultimate response to it after 3 months. I am 46 and am finished having children, so if my uterus continues to act up be enlarged I will have a hysterectomy.
