Hi, I had Her Option done in feb.2009 and i was having heavy periods for a long time and even staying home from work it was so heavy i started taking iron pills. well my ob didn't do much just said he was going to put me on birth control pill and that didn't work. well i had gone to my daughter dr who did this procedure in his office and i had it done. i did have the watery discharge for 4 weeks and then had a period and it was like 2 days and spotting for 3 which was so lite. i am 55 yrs old and i am going thru the change, i get moody and get mad at work when something is wrong. well i had my yr check up at the ob/gyn and he asked if i wanted to go on hormones and i said i would try it, well i was reading alot of the post he gave me prempro, and after 2 days i started a period and i said forget this...it was saying that you can have periods and spotting with the hormone pills. i stopped the pills and said i don't need them, that is why i had the procedure done to get away from awful periods...after stopping the hormones my period became lite and i am back to normal. i had no problem with this procedure i had couple months with no period and the last couple months they were great with hardly none for 2 days and a lite pad for about 3 days....it works for me. so far i don't get the hot flashes and nite sweats...my dr told me that alot of woman start going thru the change from 45 to 50 yrs old and i am a late one..
to some woman this works it did for me. you have to remember everyone is different and just because some have certain side effects doesn't mean you will get it....talk to your dr and have his explain it and ask questions. good luck to everyone....
