I just had heroption done 3 days ago on April 15, 2010.. I was also told the procedure would cause no pain with mild cramping afterwards. I can't say the procedure itself was horrible....definite cramping, but tolerable. The post procedure pain was not something I expected. I was nauseas and nearly passed out as I was leaving the Drs office and got terrible hot flashes to where I had to lay back down. The ride home was excruciating and I felt like I was in full blown labor. I couldn't take a pain reliever right away because I was so sick, but I managed to get a snack and take one. It definitely made the cramps more tolerable, but I vomited when I got home. I literally bled through a pad, my underwear and shorts on the way home because of the amount of fluid.
In the 3 days since the procedure I've had tons of watery/bloody discharge and I still have not had a bm. The cramping is there, but managed with percocet apap. I think I did a little too much today (moved my horses around) and the cramps are worse with bleeding again. They definitely don't state things right when they said "normal activities" in a day or so. I am tired and very sore.
Beyond this I will update as the weeks/months go on. My periods were every month for 7-8 days with full bleeding all days with clots. I honestly would be happy in the end with a few days of spotting or bleeding. Anything would be good compared to what I've gone through.
I hope this was all worth it because at the stage I am right now I would not recommend it....that all might change in the coming months though!
