37 Days Since The 1st Day Of My Last Menstrual Cycle

Hello,

I hope that some one can help me.
On 13/12/2011 it was the first day of my last menstrual cycle; today is 18/01/2012. It's been 37 days. My fiance and I are trying to conceive - since August 2011. Last week Thursday or Friday I took a preganancy test and it was negative. I'm generally a moody person so I'm not too sure if my current moodiness has something to do with pregnancy (I am on anti-depressants). My breasts are a little sore - mostly in the cleavage area, outer parts and under. I've been going to the ladies slightly more lately, but not like 10 times a day. My back aches a little, I've gotten really big for my clothes, I'm always hungry and thirst for water (which never happens), I get stingy pains in my lower abdomen / pelvis.... Last night I dreamt that I had a beautiful blonde-haired blue-eyed boy......On Monday I read a sad article in a magazine and I cried like a baby (excuse the irony) as I felt the victim's pain......

Please help....I'm so irritated.....

Hello Anon
Having sex at that time of the month is usually safe but no time is perfectly safe. Take a pregnancy test to rule it out.

Susan

I'm on day 37 and I want to know if any of you guys were pregnant! LOL I have taken 3 tests. All were negative. I was supposed to start 3 days ago. This is the first month we have tried to conceive.

Yes, definitely it's a longer cycle then usual if you are 28-30 days and should take another pregnancy test. If not see your doctor.

Best,

Daisy

Hi Daisy,

Thank you. I'm a little worried now....

I took another (different brand) test this morning and still flipping nothing.

I think I should go see my doctor a.s.a.p.

Thank you.

Hi jiggy951,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  Depending how long are your normal cycles. It might be good to take another pregnancy test within a few days.  If trying to conceive, a woman usually ovulates around day 11-21 of a cycle.  If you still haven't gotten a period then and your test is still negative. Then it's important to see your OBGYN.

Best,

Daisy

Hi Daisy,

Thank you very much for getting back to me.

Normally my cycle lasts about 5 to 6 days between a period of 28 - 30 days.

I took a test last night (probably notthe right time - should've taken it in the morning) and still negative.....

This morning when I woke up I felt a little sick, but didn't get sick.

Maybe it's best for me to give it another 6 days (until Tuesday next week) and then check.
