Q:

4 days ago I had a laparoscopic hysterectomy, and noticed today that I have gotten much bloaded since I left the Hospital. Is this normal? Thanks

Hi Anonymous,

Thank you for your question. Many times with this sort of surgery, the physicians will pump air into your stomach cavity in order to have better capabilities for removing your female organs, in this case you definitely have that feeling of being bloated until the air is removed which may take a couple days. In the meantime, you may have gas that comes out from your mouth and/or bottom. If you are unsure if you had this process done, contact your physician.

Hope this helps.
