Hi anon,
Yes, anytime you miss pills and have unprotected sex, you have a chance of pregnancy. The more pills you miss, the more times you have unprotected sex...the more chances there are for a pregnancy to occur.

It sounds like you are trying to conceive, is this accurate?

When you use hormonal contraception, it actually works by preventing ovulation. The last pill that you took was on July 8th, and you may or may not have ovulated on July 17th, as it can take a month or two for your body to resume its regular cycle.

Hi Alison
yes I'm trying to conceive even though I'm having break through bleeding which started on july 13 I had unprotected sex on the following date in july 9,10,12 and my supposed ovulation date is the 17th. Is there a chance I could be pregnant and having break through bleeding still. When would be the best time to do a prego test thank you
