Q:

Am I pregnant?

I am 17 years old and recently became sexually active in October, where my period was late and came the 30th. Since then, I have gotten my period on November 27th and December 25th. My last period had red bloot and big red globs, even if it started off with brown blood and seemed to me a little bit wierd. Today (January 22), I expected my period to start. I have had protected sex with a condom and no ejaculation every time- the last time he ejaculated into the condom was November 26th. My period is not here and my nipples have been sore and erect for the past two week. I have other symptoms as well, but I feel like I am imagining them. Could I be pregnant?

Hi Anonymous,

If you want a speculated opinion, you are at a low chance of pregnancy although, please don't take this as a quoted statement. You should wait as I mentioned above since your period should be starting pretty soon.

Hope that helps ease some fear.

Just an update- my period started today! There's no reason for me to suspect that it is any other kind of bleeding, is there?

Hi Anonymous,

Thank you for your question. Today is the 22nd and your last period started on the 25th....this is not considered late as of yet. I would wait at least a week and a half to consider yourself late and then try a pregnancy test. Since you are close to period time, remember that pre menstrual symptoms and pregnancy symptoms often mimic each other.

At this point, all you can do is wait as it is too early to tell. Keep us posted.

Even if it is too early to tell, based on combining the withdrawal method and the condom, are my chances of pregnancy low?
