Q:

Am I pregnant?

My cycle is usually around 30 days (I don't count incredibly carefully but usually get my period around the 26th of the month). It is pretty consistent and always has been. I got my last period on April 27 so I was expecting it around May 27 give or take a day or 2. It is now June 2 and there is no sign of it. I took two pregnancy tests on May 24 which both turned out negative but I realize I did them pretty early. I also have loose stools but its only after I eat and this happens to me occassionally anyway so I'm not sure its even related.

My boyfriend and I have never had full intercourse but we have fooled around and I am afraid that somehow I may have gotten his ejaculate on me and possibly gotten pregnant. If it did touch me it was only on the outside...not inside at all. I have heard this is very rare but possible??
In the past month I have also been working out more than ususal, been under a larger amount of pressure from my job, and have been pretty emotionally stressed out because of a relationship problem too. I also had a sudden but short sickness at the beginning of the month (toward the end of my last period). So I'm wondering if any of this could be adding up to mess with my cycle.
Please let me know what you think. Thank you so much.

Hi Anon,

Thanks for your post! It sounds like your period is late due to stress, change in workout habits, and maybe even your illness, not because you're pregnant. I don't think there is any chance of pregnancy if you and your boyfriend had no intercourse. A pregnancy test taken on May 31st would've given you a positive result if you were pregnant-- so, try to relax and wait for your period. It is normal to skip a period or be late considering what you're going through.

All the best!

Sorry, I'm the one who wrote the question and I meant to say I took the tests on May 31...not the 24th
