hello i got protected sex last oct 16 then same day i too postinor 2 after that oct 22 i got my period and it ends oct 27, i got protected sex again oct 29 because he used a condom but im still feel worried then i took postinor 2 same day, then nov 3 i got bleeding like a period, is it because of the medicine? should i considered it as a early period because its heavy like my normal period.

I used postinor2 on the 8th of September,my period came on the 18th of September.i had unprotected sex on the 27 to30th of September,I used postinor2 on the 30th .after a week I saw little blood for 8days.it stopped and today is 21th. Could I be pregnant. I’m supposed to see my period on the 15th of October but spotting started on the 9th of October.please help me couldibe pregnant

ECP is for emergencies. It should not be used as regular birth control. Using it often will cause irregularity in your menstrual cycle. If you had withdrawal bleeding, it's unlikely you are pregnant. A pregnancy test can ease your mind.

Emergency contraceptives are up to 95% effective when taken as prescribed within the first 24 hours and up to 90% effective if taken within 72 hours, so the risk is very small. It works by preventing ovulation and stopping a pregnancy from starting. It is not an abortion pill. It prevents a pregnancy, it does not end one. Side effects can include stomach aches, headaches, dizziness, breast pain, nausea and a general feeling of being unwell. Some women can bleed a little or quite extensively after taking emergency contraception.
The more frequently they are taken, the more likely a woman is to have side effects and an irregular cycle. They should be taken only for emergencies, not used as a method of birth control.
Symptoms usually start 2-7 days after taking the medication and may or may not include bleeding or spotting. Not all women get symptoms. Some get many, or a few, or none. If a woman doesn’t get her next period within a week of it’s expected date, a pregnancy test may be necessary although the risk is very low. Periods can often be delayed or longer/shorter as a result of taking emergency contraception. We cannot predict this for our readers in terms of length of delays. Each woman is different. Periods should get back to normal by the second cycle after.

It is probably a little too late to post about the effect on Morning After pill here. But just to assure you something, everything will be okay IF you had taken it immediately, no matter when or which day you are in on your cycle. I took Postinor 2 after unprotected intercourse (where he ejaculated in me) 2 days before my Ovulation day on 29th May (meaning my period will be expected in 2 more weeks). I took the first pill 4 hours after the sex and exactly 12 hours since then for the second pill. I bled 5 days later (4th June) for 7 days. I read on some articles that you have to count the “fake” bleeding as your new menstrual cycle, so i logged in my period tracker and it says my next period will be on 3rd July. Trust me, it was the worst 1 month ever, i couldn’t stop worrying and keep regretting that i did not use condoms. I kept on reading so many mixed stuffs and i decided to stop and have a faith. The good news is, the expected date is correct and i am having one of the worst period ever (cramps, heavy flow and all that) but super grateful for the effectivenes.

I saw my period on the 9th of dis month and finished on the 13th.i had sex on the 17th and I took postinor 2,then last Saturday making it one that I took the p2,i started seeing blood from my vagina (bleeding) till now. Pls wat I do am scared

Hello. I had sex 2 days after my period (not in my fertility window at all) My partner withdrew, but I still used postinor 2 the next day to be safe. Exactly a week after, I started bleeding and I've been for 6 days now. And cramping too. It's not as heavy as when it first started though. I'm due to see my normal period in 9 days though. Could I be pregnant? Or is this just withdrawal bleeding?
