Q:

Can you get pregnant on cycle day 19?

Basically in the heat of the moment my boyfriend finished inside (sorry, TMI) twice on my 19th day of the menstrual cycle. I have a normal 28 day cycle and we did not use any form of birth control such as condoms or the bc pills. I know about plan b, but we decided to not use that because we are both financially stable and done college... I know no one can tell me if I am pregnant or not besides a HPT, which I have waiting to use, but is there a very high chance of a pregnancy here? And since I have the early response test, which cycle day would I be able to use it? Also, are there any early signs I should be looking out for?

I suppose I am hopeful :) Thanks for the help.

Hi Anon,

Normally, with a 28 day cycle, ovulation occurs on or around day 14. However, this isn't set in stone and every woman is different so there is a possibility that you may be pregnant.

You could take an early response test once you have actually missed your period. Usually you could take it up to 5 days before this but since you had sex on cycle day 19, it would be too soon to test.

Good Luck!
