Hello Anon

You would be 6 months pregnant by now if you had sex in March and you'd know. Take your own test.

Susan

Hi,
I had unprotected sex for the first time on 28th Aug and my partner did not ejaculate in me, he did not get too deep inside too as I felt painful.
I've been consuming norcolut (the pill used to delay menstruation), 2 pills per day, since 17th Aug as I expect my period to come on 21st Aug.
I consumed the last norcolut pill right after I had sex on 28th Aug. Then consumed both pills of postinor 2 at once about 30 hours after unprotected sex.
I started bleeding on 31st Aug until 6th Sep. I'm not sure whether the bleeding was my period after I've stopped consuming norcolut or the side effect of postinor 2. My period always come on time, the first day of my period since April: 14th April, 16th May, 20th June, 20th July.
May I know the possibility of pregnancy after I've been through 2 types of hormonal pills?

Thank you so much!

Hello Anonymous,

The bigger concern than pregnancy, which I do not think is possible, is the hormonal issue caused by taking both pills.

Hello Anonymous,

No. Postinor 2 prevents pregnancy by preventing ovulation. If you had unprotected sex the day before her period was due to start, ovulation passed and the pill would be ineffective.

Hello Anon

EC is up to 95% effective. The bleeding was likely a side effect of taking it. If you don't want to be pregnant you need to use condoms at all times or some other form of contraception.

Susan
