Q:

Cause for concern or not?

I have very mild allergies from time to time throughout the year. I have had some post nasal drip the past week & am very diligent about expelling what I can. My chest today feels very heavy & tight & I am coughing like crazy. I feel slightly like I can't get a deep breath, but am not having trouble breathing per say. Wondering when I should call my MD.
Thanks

Guide

Hi Anon,

Thank you for your question.

Yes! Please go get checked out at a local urgent care facility. Although you may not be having trouble breathing, the challenges you are experiencing could progress. Anytime you have respiratory difficulty (tightness in chest, etc), there is cause for concern.

Take care of yourself,
