Q:

Could I be pregnant

My fiance and I have been trying to get pregnant for 3 months now. We have sex usually every day (because we want too, and are sexually attracted to each other, not just to get pregnant). We even have sex during my menstrual cycle, not that I can get pregnant then. My last period was 3 days late, then I had about a 4 day cycle. It wasn't light, but it wasn't heavy, and my cycle usually lasts 5 days. I run on an average 30 day cycle. I ended my mestrual cycle May 1st, on my 4 day where I was just spotting. 2 days after I stopped, I've been having back aches, cramping, and am extremely fatigued. I seem to feel bloated the past few days as well. I took a pregnancy test 1 day before my period, as I was 2 dads late then, and it said negative. I haven't taken one because I don't find it logical that I could be pregnant. But with this constant cramping (light) and other symptoms, would it be possible I am pregnant? I did have a cycle, but it was lighter, and shorter then normal.

Hi TSmith,

Thank you for sharing your question with the EmpowHER community.

I hope you are pregnant, but it's a little too soon to tell.  The symptoms you are experiencing are common with pregnancy (back ache, bloated & fatique), but the cramping is more common with menstrual cycle.

Wait another 3 -5 days and take another pregnancy test.

Best wishes on conceiving :-)
