Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

Mixed connective tissue disease is painful to live with. Here's the symptoms Mayo lists for mixed connective tissue disease:

Fatigue
Muscle weakness
Joint pain
Joint swelling
Swollen fingers
Mild fever
Raynaud's phenomenon — blood vessel spasms that interrupt blood flow to the fingers, toes, ears and nose

Your shoulder pain may be a continuation of your disease - new symptoms can occur. Some anti-inflammatory medications like ibuprofen may help but please discuss this with your doctor to see if your other medications need to be adjusted. Your doctor may also describe some exercises for you to do to help with the pain.
Best,
Susan
