Q:

Do I have an eating disorder?

I limit my calories during the day to about 300 calories, exercise religiously, and vomit anything I eat for dinner. I do not, however, binge. I have lost thirty pounds in two months, and I feel that I have an eating disorder. However, I am still overweight, and do not fit the "guidelines" for any eating disorder. Is there a name for what I have?

Hi Anonymous,

It is NOT zgoOD to only eat 300 calories a day. If you are forcing yourself to throw up your dinner, this is a tell tale sign that you are suffering from an eating disorder. Actually, you are starving your body. You can lose weight by watching what you eat and exercising but this is not the way to do it in a healthy manner. You should seek assistance from your treating physician and also request information from a nutricionist.

To safely lose weight, you must be aware of your weight, height and body mass. The manner that you are utilizing for weight loss cannot continue forever. You will get very sick. Please seek assistance from your doctor immediately.

Good luck,

Missie
