Have had this off and on for several years. Been to a dermatologist took a biopsy that was when it was in a different spot. He called it bacterial and gave me antibiotic since then I've been on antibiotic two or three more times with two different kinds of ointments. Being to an MD. Don't know where to go from here on out. There are times that my lips on of the face are swollen also. The red spot from the right side of my nose down to the side of my lip on to my face down below my lip are always red. This year down below my lip are too hard spots that's well at different times also. It concerns me because I have not had an answer to what's going on. I am 75 years old and good health but under a lot of stress.

Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

Have you seen an allergist yet? If not, I would consider doing so - these flares could be stress related and could also be an allergic reaction. Both of these causes should be explored.

When you took the medication, did it clear up the redness and swelling? We look forward to hearing back from you-
Susan
