If you had sex the same night then the pill is still working to protect you from getting pregnant. However, if you had to take an emergency contraceptive why would you take the chance again and have unprotected sex? Please use a condom or another form of protection in the future to avoid using EC's as a birth control method other than only as an emergency contraceptive.
