I know this is a age old question, but I was talking to a lady the other day and she said she is talking a natural product to relieve her from having flashes but she had to get a prescription from the doctor to get it. My question is if she needed a prescription how can it be natural?. I don't want to take any hormone replacement products because of the cancer risks but these hot flashes are just awful. She couldnt remember the name of it (sorry)

Hi Anon,

Thanks for your post and welcome! If your friend is taking a natural product that was prescribed by a doctor it is likely that she was prescribed a natural or plant derived estrogen. The next time you go to your doctor, ask what the best treatment option is for you while keeping in mind that you are not interested in Hormone Replacement therapy.

Please keep us updated,
