I am taking Ortho Tri Cyclen and lately have been messed up with taking them religiously.. June 22nd was my first day of my last period and lasted until June 27 (had sex the same day) June 28(Thursday) is the start of another pack of my pills.. But,wasn't able to take them coz I forgot to bring them when we went out of town..That was 4 white active pills in a row (Thursday to Sunday) then I took the 5th and 6th pills and forgot the 7th..Now,July 5th is my 2nd week of pills but then again,I forgot to take 5 in a row! We had unprotected sex all those times that I missed my pills.. My period is always on the 4th day taking the placebo pills..Then I had a spotting, kinda light brown in color around June 30th or July 1st or 2nd.. It only lasted for like a day.. You think I'm pregnant? I already took pregnancy test this morning (6 days before my period) and it came out negative.. I might tested it too early, you think?

Hello Anonymous,
Testing too early will give you a negative result. As I explained, hCG levels can be first detected in urine about two weeks after you conceived.
Wait. Read and follow the directions on the test package carefully. Test using the first urine of the morning.

In the meantime, take good care of yourself. Eat a healthy diet and avoid alcohol. If you are pregnant, you want to start taking good care of your body.

Hello Anonymous,

There is a very good chance that you could be pregnant. You missed taking your active birth control pills for several consecutive days and had unprotected sex on those days.

The hormone, hCG,is produced during pregnancy. Levels can first be detected by a blood test about 11 days after conception and about 12 to 14 day after conception by a urine test.

If you are due to start your period around July 22, wait. If your period is late by one week, then, take a pregnancy test.

Thanks,Maryann :) It seems like my HCG Level might still be too low to detect any pregnancy thing..So,I'll follow your advice to do it after some missed periods.. I am so anxious lately about becoming pregnant..I am actually hoping for a positive result.. hehehehe Is it still possible that I can get negative result if it's already like 5 or 4 days before my period?
